~Thankful Thursday~

*

2 Corinthians  1:3-4
Ephesians 1:3 ~"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."

1 Peter 1:3 ~ "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,"

Isaiah 49:13 ~ "Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones."

2 Corinthians 7: 6,7,13 ~ "But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever. By all this we are encouraged. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you."

*Thank you Lord for Life;

*Thank you for blessings;

*Thank you for sending your Son so that we may have HOPE of new life;

*Thank you for better results on all Jan's recent testing. This is certainly a PRAISE;

*Thank you for modern medicine and all it can do;

*Thank you for being a Father who comforts me;

*Thank you for comments left on by blog. Only through you I can offer care, comfort and encouragment to others;

*Thank you for providing the rest I needed last week;

*Thank you for local friends; and blogging friends.

I love the picture, such a soothing scene. I'm thankful that the tests results were good. I pray that God will draw you all even closer together because of this situation and glory will be given to the Father even in the midst of hardship. We just never know who we might influence by our faith at times like these.

Something you mentioned brought to mind something that stuck out to me on the recent reports we have had from mission trips our church members have taken....to be thankful for modern medicine. So many in other countries don't have the convenience we often take for granted of going to the doctor.

HOPE- that is just a wonderful thing. And it is most wonderful because God offers it to us all the time. Glad to hear about your sister's the favorable result. Praise God!

Cheryl--wow---life gets real when you face things as your family is facing. I know. You learn to be thankful in things you never thought to be thankful for before! You have such a testimony on your blog---you life is a light for souls in darkness---I am blessed by coming here...and reminded again of God's great love for me. Love on that sister of yours for me!

Reading your comment about what happened close to where you live...wow. Unsettling, indeed.
I often take such comfort from the idea that nothing, NOTHING is going to happen to me that God hasn't allowed through His will.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Blessings,
Tracy

I'll be back to check on your sister.
When I read of someone's journey of cancer then it just makes my problems seem so small.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog.
