~Blog Give Away Final Details~

As I mentioned in my post Saturday, I'm going to have a blog give away in honor of my sister Jan. November 13, 2007, 1 year ago, her life changed dramatically.

I had started my blog in May, 2007, but never posted anything. It wasn't until Jan was finishing up her initial treatment at MD Anderson that her blog was designed and I decided to jump in and started blogging, also. But, I don't think it was until sometime in April that I joined some of the meme's and have been blessed with so many sweet friends. You have been so kind as to pray for Jan and our family, along with checking on her, asking about her and even leaving her comments on her blog.

So, to say "THANK YOU," and to CELEBRATE this very special day, I want to share this 6x6 Laser Engraved tile (w/easel) with one of you. Just leave a comment here between now and Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. (11/13). I think I will let Jan draw the name when we have lunch Thursday, and will announce the winner Thursday afternoon.

Thank you for your friendships and most especially for your prayers.

Jeremiah 29:11 ~ I say this because I know what I am planning for you," says the Lord. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.

Thank you for walking this journey with us.

Truly Blessed,
Cheryl

I think this may be the most recent picture of Jan. I snatched it off her blog.

Love that photo of Jan and her grandbaby. It's been a great blessing to meet you, and a privilege to lift Jan before the Lord and watch Him work. = ) So glad you started blogging! What a sweet way to honor your blog journey and Jan at the same time!

Oh, it's beautiful! Cheryl, Wilson got his toys! He said to tell Ripley, "Woof!" I think that means thanks as he has had the best time, especially with the mouse. He took 3 toys to bed with him last night and each time I would throw them off the bed he'd jump down and bring them back. They stayed, except for the mouse, which went under my pillow until Wilson went to sleep. He has had so much fun! I truly appreciate it.

P. S. Beautiful pic of you and Jan! I love it. Also, still praying for Jan, and asking for prayers for Jimmy. He is going to have surgery sometime soon - they just can't be sure if it's scar tissue or a return of the malignant melanoma without going back in. Praying we have a celebratory Thanksgiving rather than one where we are a little less than thankful, you know? I'm not doubting, I'm just sayin'....Remind me.....Our God is bigger than cancer! I must keep repeating...

Aww, now I have faces to go with these wonderful people. Cheryl, you have blessed Leslie and I so much with your support and encouragement. Jan is so blessed to have a sister like you. And thank you for sharing some of your journey with us. It's helped me immensely. I'll be praying for Jan Thursday, praising God for his hand in both our circumstances. God is good!

Who would ever thought that the road of life would have been so bumpy this past year. But, by the grace of God, Jan has come thru. It has always been said that there is good in every situation and one of those blessings is all the prayer warriors that have been praying for Jan's healing. And thank God, those prayers are being answered. Keep up the good fight Jan; you are an inspiration to all of us.
