~WFW~ Overcome That Problem You Face~

I JOHN 5:4 NIV ~ "for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the
victory that has overcome the world, even our faith."

Yes, we do face difficulties in life, but they only give us an
opportunity to trust the Lord and overcome. Without problems we
would have nothing to overcome, and thus not be able to receive
all the blessings promised to those who do overcome.

There are seven promises given to overcomers in the second and
third chapters of Revelation. Here is the last one:

REVELATION 3:21 NIV ~ "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me
on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on
his throne."

As you face the problems of life, keep your eyes on your
destination, just as Jesus did. Walk close to God and depend on
Him. He will not fail you.

I JOHN 4:4 NIV ~ "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them,
because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in
the world."

Our problems can range from very small to very large. God will not fail us in any circumstance.

I've felt dumber than dirt the last 2+ weeks, with this new job. It has pushed me WAY OUT of my comfort zone, probably in every area. It is just plain hard to be out your comfort zone with no end in sight. I've made a couple of requests and both of these requests have been fulfilled very willingly. It seems this company genuinely wants their employees to succeed and to be happy. I'm hopeful I will be on more familiar ground in the days to come.

Blessings!

Couldn't be more true or more timely for me to hear. Thanks for reminding me. :)

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for sharing this lovely picture and encouraging verses. It is so true that difficulties give us opportunities to trust the Lord and overcome. Thanks for this precious reminder to walk close to God and depend on Him. Thank God that He is with us and give us grace and strength daily. Praying for you regarding your job that God will continue to help you to adapt and be your help always. Praying for Jan too. Take care and God bless!

I love that you put the light house as your picture with that verse. It makes me think that Jesus is the light and we are the boats. If we trust in His light he will see us through any storm, fog, or perilous ways.

Overcoming is what it's all about, isn't it? I dont know what those without zchrist do? How can they even begin to manage and find peace. Thanks for sharing!

You're right...if life here was perfect, we'd never long for Heaven! Not to mention, we'd never know that which we can overcome with God's help. I just watched Facing the Giants again, so this theme is fresh with me.

Lighthouses are such poweful images of what Christ is to us...a steadfast, ever-faithful light.

Praying as you continue to transition into your new job. It's nice to hear they really seem to want you to succeed and be happy.

Hugs,
Tracy

Great post for WFW this week, Cheryl. Sounds like even with being pushed out of your comfort zone, work is going well. I love companies that are willing to do what is necessary to keep good employees and to have them happy and productive.

Trials and tribulations are very painful and difficult but you are right if we did not have them we would not find such strength in our Lord. I believe that is the major reason for trials...so we will cling to the Lord. It is well known that in such trials we always run so fast and so hard to the Father. Unfortunately, at times we don't run as fast or hard during the "good" times.

Did you get a blog uplift? I've not been around blogland as much lately...busy, busy.
Blessings,
Paula

I know how you feel. I always hated being the new person on the block (especially in a work situation) so I am praying that soon it will all fall into place and then you will be the old pro.
