~WFW~Hang On~

a href="http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1255403354061497792AcTmMQ">Hand Grasping Statue in Belgium

Here is a portion of a recent devotion that I received. It speaks volumes.

HEBREWS 10:23 NKJ ~ "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."

"Sometimes it seems like there's no hope and no help. Like you have no more strength or ability to go on. You're at the end of yourself and just can't do any more.

Don't worry. Just hang on to your faith in God.

God is faithful. He will not forsake you. He has not forgotten you. (It just seems that way when you face a trial of faith --but it's a lie.)

It may seem dark and hopeless, but God is holding on to you. God is working behind the scenes. Things will work out.

When you don't know what to do, just continue to trust in God, and know that He is helping you. Persevere even when you feel like you can't. Just don't give up.

JAMES 1:2-4 Barclay ~ "My brothers, you must regard it as nothing but joy when you are involved in all kinds of trials, for you must realize that when faith has passed through the ordeal of testing the result is the ability to pass the breaking-point and not to break. This ability must go right on to the end, and then you will be perfect and complete, without a weak spot."

Trials are no fun. But we should not be surprised when we find our faith being tested.

The devil is doing his best to steal your faith in God, but his best is not good enough. God is greater than the devil. Hang onto your faith!

Remember that God is for you. God is on your side. God will help you and see you through.

Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep praising and thanking God -- especially when you don't feel like it. Don't give up. Hang on!"

I have an unspoken prayer request tonight. I don't feel comfortable posting the details tonight. God already knows what it is. I would be honored if you would join me as I pray for this matter.

Cheryl,

I am joining you in prayers. Thanks for sharing these very encouraging portions of God's Words. They are great comforts to me today.

Sometimes in times of trials, I do not know how to go on but thank God that He never lets me go! He is holding onto me even as I strive to hold onto Him and His Words. Thanks for sharing this lovely photo and verses with us! May God be very near to you and strengthen you and family with His love and peace.

Blessings,
Nancie

I needed this today. I found out yesterday that because of funding I may not have a job in a couple of weeks. I know I can't give up hope. I am just not sure what direction to go in. So much is happening in our family.
Thanks for sharing. I too will join in prayer.

Holding on...
Darlene

Oh Cheryl,

This picture is just incredible!! And the verse you put with it....

OH My...

I'm so encouraged. I will never let go, and this picture will stay in my mind forever.

Lord, I lift my precious sister up to you know. You know what she needs, you know her requests before she even asks them. Be there for her and for her family during these trying times. Fill them with YOUR strength as they battle each day. Uphold them, and keep them in the palm of your strong, powerful hands, In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Praying you through,

Susan

That's a great devo piece. I love the pic of the statue. Boy does that feel like me many times in the last year. Only by the grace of God am I breathing and hanging onto to hope in Him. I don't see how more people don't just want to end this life of trials without Christ. Christ is the only reason I hang on and I'm hanging to Him.

I just love all the encouragement that I draw from this devo piece. It does seem like God has foresaken us in the midst of our trials and pain but that is a lie from the enemy. Trials do bring growth and endurance but they are hard nonetheless.
Blessings,
Paula

What a powerful post today! And isn't it wonderful to know that, even when we feel we can't hang on, that our faith is almost gone, that HE hangs on to US!!

You've been praying for me, and I want you to know that I committed to praying for you and for your sister, Jan, and for your family!

Thank you so much for your post today! It is surely God-inspired!

I have to join you in your request and I will pray for you. I have been going through something too that I would rather not share so I am in the same spot as you. I wonder if that is why God has led us to pray for one another. Anyway, like I said last post, we will stand together in prayer with the other ladies out there and the enemy will be defeated.

I always like to think that in the midst of our trials, sometimes they actually remind me God IS working in my life, as it's easy for me to forget when it gets hard.
I loved the picture and the post.

May the peace that passes all understanding be settled deep in your soul today and in the coming week. May your heart be lifted into a quiet place and tucked under an angels wing, to sit in the comfort of our Father's presence and be at peace. Blessings to you.

Yes, Hannah would still play in the mud like that today. Except maybe on the 4 wheeler. She is a girly girl but she enjoys playing hard too. Thanks for the sweet comments.
