~Thankful Thursday~Trust~

Trust in the Lord with all your heart...Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Psalms 37: 3, 5 ~"Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture;
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this..."

TRUST ~ That can be BIG and DIFFICULT at times. I posted three verses all saying we should, "Trust in the Lord." How often do we lay our problems at God's feet, trusting Him; AND then before long we've taken them back to handle ourselves? Do we REALLY think we can handle our problems or concerns better than GOD? AND, do we instead make a bigger problem or have more concerns when we try to handle things?

*Today, I'm thankful I have God to handle my problems.
*And, if I have problems letting Him handle them, I'm thankful He's always there to take control when I've made a mess or realize I need to let Him handle things.
*I'm thankful I've had time to rest in the last week.
*I'm thankful for all that God created.
*I'm thankful Jan is tolerating her new treatment with MINIMAL side effects.
*I'm thankful for good friends and family.
*I'm thankful I have money to pay my bills.
*I'm thankful I'm not limited to one skill and I have options in terms of work.
*And, last but surely not least, I'm thankful for Ripley. Talk about trust. This little fella trusts me 100%.

I'll leave you with a picture of Ripley aka The Begger

I would ask that you continue to pray for Jan, Joyce, and my cousin. They are all fighting cancer, as well as pray that I will trust God as I continue this job search. I know He will provide what I need.

May God Bless Each of You!

Thankful Thursday is hosted by Iris at Sting My Heart.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not upon your own understanding...Cheryl...that is certain that we often lay them down or let them go except for that last thread or as soon as we get smacked again but HE is God and we are not! I'm thankful that I have an encourager, that is so willing to walk along side me. Staying in prayer but so glad to hear a minimal praise report! God has a plan for you and your job is in His hands. I love your sweet, honest post and list of thankfulness! BUT I mostly love that beggar boy's new photo so clean and sitting so pretty. Extra treats from me to Ripley!!! What a joy...his 100% trust and companionship! God is aMazing in how He touches our lives with sweet
friends! Thanking Him for you and blessing you as you truly bless and bring HOPE EACH DAY! Love the straight road...look like it was moving and inviting me to make a trip via AZ, NM, OK, KS, MS, IA, home MN...right??? But it diverted my attention...with new hopes!HUGS

Hi Cheryl, I'll continue to pray for your family; glad to know Jan is responding well to treatment. Trust is probably very real for you right now. . . one thing I'm certain of, God never lets us down. Take care of you and God bless you.

Love, Sharon.

Amen, my friend. Definitely continuing to pray... Praising God that you aren't limited in your qualifications! That is such a blessing as you search and await what God has for you in the way of a new job.

That picture of sweet Ripley just melts my heart. Our fur babies add so much joy to our lives.

Cheryl,
Trust is hard but He is worthy. I love Prov. 3:5-6. I claim it as my life verse. It's been in my heart for about ten years and it seems the last year, I've really clutched to it. It brings such comfort when we don't understand why things happen but rather just trust!

Hi Cheryl! How are you?? It's been awhile. Hope things are going good. Praying for your family and praying for you with your job search.

Ripley is a cutie! Glad to see he is able to "sit pretty" (as Lucie calls it). Looks like he is still healing nicely. So silly...but I was so worried after Lucie's surgery that she would never be able to "sit pretty" again! She is back 110% now! Hope Ripley is too!

Have a great week!

Ripley is adorable. How can you resist this little guy's begging.

Glad to hear Jan is only having minimal side effects. I am praying for Joyce and also that she is able to find the Lord through all this and of course still praying for your cousin.

Hey Cheryl,

Great post. Yes you are so right. It seems like I continually try to take things OUT OF THE HANDS OF GOD after I placed them there!!!

Being in control, worrying, well, the longer I live the more I realize it does NOT change things!

TRUSTING DOES!!

Thanks for being such a bright light in blogosphere.

Keep your family in prayer daily♥

Well all say it but do we really? It is hard for us even as a believer to fully trust him in everything. Our flesh kicks in and "we" take over. Thanks for this post.

What an amazing outlook you have. Thanks for the reminder that we do have a multitude of gifts and talents to meet the needs of our situations. I needed that.

I'm so glad I stopped by your blog and read your thankful list. I agree with them wholeheartedly or felt grateful for the same things. God is so good isn't He? Have a great weekend.

Thank you for this post. I prayed for your prayer requests. I agree - it is always good to have job options.

Pets definitely trust us. We have two cats from the animal shelter. They were abused and neglected at their previous homes, but they are safe and cared for here with us.

Babies and young children teach us to trust completely, too, with that child-like faith and trust we all need to have toward our heavenly Father.

Enjoy your weekend!
