~Thankful Thursday~ Love~

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

When strife exists within a Christian family, unity is only possible through Christ's example of forgiveness. The beauty of Christ in our lives is not seen when we harbor unforgiveness, and we cannot have enduring relationships without freeing ourselves from this bondage. We forsake a worthy walk with the Lord if we are unwilling to sacrifice for forgiveness. Forgiveness costs us pride, humility, gentleness, patience and forbearance, but it's glorifying to God.

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called — one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6.

Jesus died on the cross for us. Not because we were worthy, but because he LOVED US.

Oh Cheryl, that is so true. If we harbor un-forgiveness in our hearts - it can tear apart all kinds of relationships. Thank you so much for the reminder :)

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
